    Why do you use Unreal to render the scene, what are the benefits to using Unreal over Blender or Octane/ Arnold or something else.

    • @DamSchool
      @DamSchool Місяць тому

      Because I never seen something that fast and it's also real-time when working on the lighting. Which is helpful if you wan to quickly see the desired results contrary to the ones you mentioned.

    Thanks for the lesson. Is it possible to change texture for some parts of steams? Or it's always one material for all the copies of trunks+fronds?

    • @DamSchool
      @DamSchool Місяць тому

      It is one material per fronds, but for that I would just reduce the amount, duplicate the node, and apply a different shader on the new one.

      Thank you! Most of it by myself yes, I mean that's how I started and then I got feedbacks from awesome peps in the industry. But I have the advantage of coming from the 3d industry so I just applied what I knew when working on a movie or else, and translate it into Ue. I would say just practice, do it, do it again, and again until you reach your happy spot. Ue is not easy, watch tutorials, learn from people in the industry, youtube is great but always quite bad when it comes to tutorials. Feel free to shoot question if you have, good luck!

    • @DamSchool
      @DamSchool 4 місяці тому

      Hmm, if you mean the results is different from Gaea that could be a sizing issue, Did you checked you exported in Scale 1 = 1 meter ? Also did you check that Quad is enabled instead of Adaptive ? If what you see from Gaea is different that's definitely coming from your export node.

    • @DamSchool
      @DamSchool 4 місяці тому

      Thank you! Glad it's okay to follow. Tyflow is amazing but it will never be as detailed as Gaea, (Gaea erosion is one of the best out there) plus I like how you can easily tweak and texture afterward. But this is a good idea as well!
